Building bridges from national unity to global cooperation – the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam in action.
From National Unity to Global Cooperation
Confederation of Voluntary Organisations (COVO) was founded on a simple but far-reaching idea: that strengthening unity and integration at home and fostering cooperation abroad are part of the same journey. Our founding objects run from promoting National Unity and Integration to building International Relations and Global Cooperation, guided throughout by the ancient Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the world is one family.
COVO is not built to work alone. We exist as a collaborative platform that brings together NGOs, voluntary organisations, and changemakers across the country, fostering collaboration and synergy, mobilising resources, and building capacity so that organisations doing similar work can multiply their impact together rather than duplicate it apart.
Our Focus Areas
Our founding charter sets out more than 70 objects spanning nearly every dimension of national development. In practice, we organise our work, and our support to partner NGOs, around focus areas including:
Education, Research and Skill Development
Health, Family Welfare and AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha)
Technology, Digital Literacy and Information Technology
Environment, Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development
Women and Child Development, Youth Affairs and Sports
Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Rural Development
Employment Generation, MSME and Entrepreneurship
Social Justice, Tribal Affairs and Dalit Studies
Ancient Indian Culture, National Integration and Panchayati Raj
How We Work
For each of these focus areas, COVO forms a dedicated working team that develops actionable methodologies, training, and on-ground support. Whether you represent an established NPO or are just starting your journey, COVO offers mentorship, resources, and a network of collaborators, helping you turn intent into impact, together.
